In this article we present the initial results of the study of teachers of the project (I +D+ I) TRADDEC, a research funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain, which objective is determine whether the "process of transition " of Spain and Chile are set sufficiently in value in the educational system.
The results presented correspond to the experimental phase of the investigation conducted through an semistructured interview to Chilean and Spanish teachers in secondary education. In these, it reveals a profound assessment by teachers teaching in the classroom transition and educational opportunities to develop citizenship skills. However, they note the obstacles in the curriculum to develop, especially from the point of view of time allocated to the subject.
