In order to know use of ICT in university teaching functions, a closed-question survey toa sample of 346 full-time faculty of the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, was applied in2011. 8 research-related activities, 14 teaching-related activities and 5 outreach activitieswere analyzed. This study was developed with two research hypothesis, and the informationwas processed with SPSS v.18, with a Chi Square test for the first hypothesis, and a t-testof mean difference for the second hypothesis. The results obtained indicate that there is adirect relationship between the frequency and proficiency in the use of ICT by teachers, butthe difference between the intensity of use in research activities related to the teaching andextensión is not significantDownloads
